Banking/Financial Crisis Episodes

The most comprehensive data on banking crises is given by Reinhart and Rogoff (2008), covering the period going back to 1800. See Carmen Reinhart's website for detail.

Demirguc-Kunt and Detragiache (2005) report the years of banking crisis across countries during 1980-2002. See Table 2 for raw data.

Laeven and Valencia (2008) "Systemic Banking Crises: A New Database" (IMF Working Paper Working Paper No. 08/224) present a database on the timing of systemic banking crises and policy responses to resolve them during 1970-2007.
