Luxembourg Income Study provides micro data on gross and net income, mostly for developed countries but also for Latin American middle-income countries such as Brazil (2006), Colombia (2004), Guatemala (2006), Mexico (1984, 1989/1992, 1994/1996, 1998/2000/2002, 2004), Peru (2004), and Uruguay (2004) and for former socialist countries such as Czech Republic (1992, 1996, 2002, 2005), Estonia (2000, 2005), Hungary (1991, 1994, 1999, 2005), Poland (1986, 1992, 1995, 1999, 2004), Romania (1995/1997), Russia (1992, 1995, 2000), Slovak Republic (1992, 1996, 2005), and Slovenia (1997, 1999, 2004). The data for Taiwan (1981, 1986, 1991, 1995/1997, 2000, 2005) is also available.
Used by Milanovic (2000) to test the median-voter hypothesis.
