Geddes's authoritarian regime type data

Geddes (1999) "Authoritarian Breakdown: Empirical Test of a Game Theoretic Argument" provides the data on authoritarian regime types. See Appendix for the data.

Chapter 3 of Weeks (2008) "Leaders, Accountability, and Foreign Policy in Non-Democracies" uses the raw data (42 variables used to categorize regimes) of Geddes (1999). See Appendix B for the detail.


Wright (2008)
extends Geddes (1999)'s data by including monarchies and short-lived regimes. See the paper's Web Appendix.
